With Jerry Goodman and Ryo Okumoto
Hello folks,
You might remember me posting a video a few days ago showing an electric guitar from Carvin Guitars being CNC machined CNC Guitar - CNC Machining Carvin Carved Top Guitars - Sunny Side Up by L.A. Underscore
Now they had a nice instrumental song for background music in that video from the band L.A. Underscore. So I thought I would also share that song with you. The band members of L.A Underscore that you see in the video are G.T. Richards on bass guitar, he once traded a Triumph 750 Bonneville for a guitar. He is also the one responsible for introducing each of the core members of the L.A. Underscore to each other.
Derek Thanstrom on the double necked 12 and 6 string acoustic guitar and later on electric guitar, Jonathann Launer you see on the drums. And then the last Sean Joplin on electric guitar. Well in the making of this great instrumental song Sunny Side Up, they also got two guests playing with them.
Virtuoso violinist Jerry Goodman is an American violinist best known for playing electric violin in the bands The Flock and the jazz fusion Mahavishnu Orchestra. Ryo Okumoto on the keyboard, some of you might have already heard about this guy. He is the Spock's Beard keyboardist and has performed with artists like Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Barry White, Eric Burdon, Peabo Bryson, Natalie Cole and Roberta Flack. He also has been part of countless world tours.
The video that L.A. Underscore put together is filmed in the studio when they are recording the song Sunny Side Up. We get to see the L.A. Underscore members play together and listen to a very nice instrumental progressive rock song. The song is pretty long about 7:30 min, but everyone does a great performance. And with them having Jerry Goodman on the violin really puts this song over the top. Great Guitar Sound
