I was saying a few weeks back that I was thinking that I would start with some reviews on here sometime in the future. Well I think now is about the time that I got around to doing that. I’m talking about the Takamine S35 acoustic guitar that have really come down in price now. This jasmine guitar by takamine guitars really is such an beginner guitar. This used to be a $200 guitar but now you can get it for under $100.
But it’s not the price of this beginner guitar that got my attention, no it’s the quality of this takamine guitar. The Takamine S35 Dreadnought acoustic guitar features a spruce top with nato back and sides. The full body binding and chrome machines are combined with a nice satin finish. The construction and overall quality are very impressive.
The finish will not show finger prints like most common gloss-finished black bargain basement models would do. This Takamine guitar is a good looking instrument that looks like it cost far more than it really does. You get a warm natural, rich wood tone exterior.

What this means is you will get a beginner guitar that is very sturdy and will take some abuse without showing marks and scratches. Having a laminated back and side does affect the overall sound of the guitar but that is not really anything someone who want to learn how to play guitar should worry about. And that is what this Takamine acoustic guitar indeed have.
The rosewood fretboard really is a nice piece along with the beautiful headstock gives this beginner guitar the look that many more expensive looking guitars show. This together with a black pickguard makes this beginner guitar complete, ready for you to start playing.
One good thing is that this Jasmine by Takamine guitar is covered by a Limited Lifetime warranty, where all the parts and labor are covered for 2 years. And after that initial 2-year period, the parts will be covered for anything deemed defective as long as you own the product.
I think that this is great with the warranty because things like the guitar tuners is one part that do get worn out by time on most any guitar and if you are a regular player of open tunings and tune between standard a lot then this warranty should come in handy. Not saying anything will wear out, just talking from my own experience with beginner guitars here.
