Demonstrates Banjo Fingerpicking
In
this video by D'Addario Strings, Tony Furtado explains about his banjo
inspired fingerpicking style. He also tells us about his Gibson Les Paul
Earl Scruggs Banjo and what strings he use. And then he plays a little
tune for us on the banjo. Tony don't say why he have black tape on the
banjo on the video but he is kind enough to comment on the video. And
this is what he says about that.
*********
The
black tape cuts certain vibrations from that head and helps with
killing some issues with feedback when I use my pickup. Ive also gotten
used to the acoustic tone of dampening it a bit. Looks weird too, and I
like that!

Then we get to hear him play slide guitar on his 1944 Martin 0-17 guitar. And he shares with us how he bought it in some shop about 15 years ago. All in all this I think is a great video.
