Guitar Wallpaper - Plectrums Picks

I made a HD Guitar Wallpaper of my Black Jim Dunlop Nylon guitar pick or plectrum a few days ago.

So I did. Well actually 3 of the guitar picks are plastic guitar picks, I'll tell you more about that wierd looking one. And I didn't only do one guitar wallpaper I made two for you both are HD 16:9 1920x1080.

So about the guitar wallpaper. You see here my white Fender plastic guitar pick, it's a medium. And of all the plastic guitar picks I have I use this one the most. In the center we have my Jim Dunlop plastic medium guitar pick. Well Dunlop call them Genuine Celluloid picks. And on the right I have my other Jim Dunlop Celluloid pick. That one is of the thin gauge. And it's broken. You can see that it's got a chip in it.

That's one downside to plastic picks that they do tend to break after some time. Another downside over the nylon picks that the plastic ones have is they don't give that same grip either that you get from the nylon type.

Now that wierd looking guitar pick that you see in the middle. It's called the Sharkfin guitar pick. It was made by Stig Landström from Sweden. Stig Landström is an Swedish guitarist and he invented these guitar picks back in 1964. The Sharkfin pick was the first new pick since the 1930ies. And it's been said that these influenced modern methods of guitar playing more than anyone can imagine.

"Landstrom Sharkfin plectrum offers guitar players the versatile shark fin shaped plectrum with choice of playing edges for different tones. Hold the plectrum and pick or strum the guitar with the smooth shark-fin edge, then turn the pick around and use the waved shark-fin edge for a harder guitar sound."

Sometimes I play so fast that the darndest thing happens. My guitar picks starts melting. Nothing you can do really, when that happens I just have to pick up another one. I'm joking, of course. This is an water effect that I made on this guitar wallpaper. It looks cool I think because it's like the guitar picks are melting on the desk.
