Tommy Emmanuel - Doyle Dykes and Lizzie Watkins
Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes and Lizzie Watkins is here performing together on stage in Raalte 2006.Tommy Emmanuel and Doyle Dykes is first seen playing the song, or songs are the better way to describe it. They play Yankee Doodle and the tune Dixie together. It's a great guitar trick to be able to play two songs at once. And they sure get the corwd going with it.
Then Lizzie Watkins joins in and the trio sing two songs together. The first song is "I Saw the Light".
The song "I Saw the Light" is a 1948 Gospel song written and first performed by Hank Williams.
The second song they sing is The Water is Wide. The song "The Water Is Wide" (also called "O Waly, Waly") is an English folk song that has been sung since the 1600.
I must say that they did a very beautiful cover of the songs.
