For Acoustic and Electric Guitars
I have seen these wooden guitar picks before but I have not thought too much about them. And now that I read about them I can tell you that there is something special with using wooden plectrums. Now this for some might at first glance only look like a luxury thing to have. But there is more to it than that.
Timber Tones make these wooden guitar plectras and they have them made from many different woods. African Ebony, African blackwood, African mahogany, afromosia, bird's-eye maple. bubtnga, bloodwood, cocobolo, curly maple, jatoba, lignum vitae, Macassar ebony, Mexican cocobolo, ovangkol, sapele, santos rosewood and zebrawood.
The plecturms are all waxed and hand oiled to seal and preserve the wood and will improve the grip. This also means that the plectrum will give of a pleasant aroma. Now because of the use of different woods the plectrums will each give you a different sound from you're guitar.
Electric guitar players are enjoying the clean crisp hardness of the Ebony plectrums. Acoustic and jazz guitar players have commented on the natural mellow response of the Santos Rosewood. While bass guitar players love the hard-as-iron percussive attack of the Lignum Vitae.

The dense and slick ebony plectrum is smooth to the touch, it is brilliant for strumming and for smooth, responsive attacking chord washes. The Lignum Vitae is incredibly hard with a subtly textured feel. While the Santos Rosewood has it all.
With each having their own qualities, some more extreme than others. These wooden guitar picks will keep you experimenting for hours.
