Vicki Genfan - Atomic Reshuffle

I had not heard about Vicki Genfan before I saw this video of her playing. I was actually looking for the make of a 12 string acoustic guitar that I could not name, and in my search for that this video caught my eye.

But I must say, I'm glad that this video caught my eye because the performance we get from Vicki Genfan here is something else. To give you a little background for Vicki Genfan, she is a fingerstyle guitarist, composer and singer. She took up the guitar at the age of five and besides guitar Genfan plays piano, banjo, hand percussion and trombone. Vicki Genfan have been on stage with several well-known fellow guitarists, for example Tommy Emmanuel, Laurence Juber, Kaki King and Jennifer Batten.

Because Vicki use alot of open tuning in her songs (also in this Atomic Reshuffle song), several American and international magazines have labeled her "Queen of Open Tunings".

So here we get to see Vicki Genfan performing live at Soave Guitar Festival, Italy in 2006. This song Atomic Reshuffle is also on her album Up Close & Personal. This album is a two disc album with the first CD Up Close giving you Atomic Reshuffle for the first track. The first CD is only instrumentals, while the second CD Personal is a vocal-based disc.

Now the whole reason I found Vicki Genfan is because she is here playing an 12 String Acoustic Guitar. Vicki is well known for using here Luna Muse 12 String Acoustic Electric Guitar. And we also get to see Vicki playing slide guitar in this song. This is a great performance done by Vicki Genfan and I'm sure you also will like it.
