Solo Acoustic Electric Great Guitar Sound
This is Ewan Dobson again playing on his acoustic electric guitar. The song that Ewan is playing here is called "Time". If you have been following Ewan Dobson or you are a follower of Great Guitar Sound you might know that this is a earlier version of Ewans song "Time 2". You can read about that and watch Ewans video in my earlier post Ewan Dobson - Time 2 - Epic Mortal Combat Type Trance Music On Acoustic Guitar
So if you have heard both songs Time and Time 2, you should hear the similarities and how Time 2 came to be. Time is actually a long song if you compare it to Time 2. Time lasting a whole 4:52 min while Time 2 only runs 3:10 min.
Now because both songs are similar they both share the same guitar tuning. The tuning for Time is Open C Tuning - C G C G C E. If you like to hear other songs played with the same guitar tuning have a look at Leo Kottke - Up Tempo - Hear the Wind Howl and Busted Bicycle - German TV WDR 1977
The video that Ewan Dobson made for this song maybe a little bit over the top for some. I'm talking about the effects that Ewan have used. It looks like Ewan have used a bluescreen and have some CGI effects making it look like he is flying over the surface of a planet somewhere far far away. I don't mind it, but I do agree that it's not something that neccessary because Ewan is a great guitar player and really shouldn't need to have anything extra to make him stand out.
