I have not been making any new guitar wallpapers lately because, well my camera broke. Busted CCD, so now the pictures are of webcam quality 10 years back. It would not be a problem for me to swap out the CCD for a new one, but it turns out that I can't find any replacement parts for my particular camera. So that's a bit of a letdown.
Anyhow I do have a few pictures that I can play with in the meantime. In my last post Happy New Year 2012 From Great Guitar Sound I made a happy new years wallpaper with my old Fender Stratocaster. So I thought I'll make another Guitar Wallpaper of that one. What's new is I took out the lens flare effect, and "Happy New Year 2012" text.
You might also notice that this Guitar Wallpaper is a bit bigger, not the usual 1920x1080. I decided to use 1920x1200 because this resolution is more common for computer monitors today. It gives you a bit more space.
I'll post both the Wallpapers here for your convenience. Starting with the Guitar Wallpaper I made for this post and then the Happy New Year one.
This Guitar Wallpaper is pretty much the same like I said before. The view is of the guitar body, we have the controls in the middle of the screen and we see the guitar jack socket to the right. We see a little bit of the guitar strings and saddle in the bottom of the picture and also a hint of the guitar pickup. The fretboard and headstock is not in view in this guitar wallpaper.
I embedded the great guitar sound logo up top, www.GreatGuitarSound.Blogspot.com and added a curve to the text. And to get it a bit more to stand out I also made the text glowing. So that's about it. Don't know if I can afford a new camera so for the time being we'll just have to "narrow our horizons" just like the rest of the world I guess...
